Sigrok: Using Logic to Debug Logic (Matt Ranostay) This talk will highlight the shortfalls of current debugging software for Linux using various cheap to expensive devices which some are completely Open Hardware. Sigrok project will be demoed in full along with some comparable OSS debugger based projects. Various things can be done within a Linux environment to progress low-level Linux development using logic analyzers + DSO + JTAG. Various features will be discussed including but not limited to simple + complex triggers, DDR mode hacks, and protocol decoding.
Hardware Debugging Tools (David Anders) Ubiquitous, powerful, and low-cost microcontrollers have enabled a new breed of capable yet affordable logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
